The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) has introduced the ‘Mijn Cyberweerbare Zaak’ (MCZ) grant to support small businesses and the self-employed in boosting their cybersecurity resilience.
Increasing digitalisation brings new cybersecurity challenges for many entrepreneurs. To support small businesses and the self-employed, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) has created the ‘Mijn Cyberweerbare Zaak’ (MCZ) grant. This grant helps entrepreneurs increase their digital resilience by making a financial contribution to essential cybersecurity measures.
What is the ‘Mijn Cyberweerbare Zaak’ Grant and Who is it For?
The ‘Mijn Cyberweerbare Zaak’ grant aims to help entrepreneurs enhance their cybersecurity. The grant covers 50% of eligible costs, with a maximum of €1,250. This means that if, for example, you invest in a password manager, anti-virus software, or secure network access, you can get a significant contribution for this.
To be eligible, companies must be registered with the Chamber of Commerce and have fewer than 50 employees. The grant is for both preventive measures and advisory services that increase a company’s cyber resilience. Examples include having a cybersecurity scan performed, ordering and setting up a password manager or arranging backups. With the ‘Mijn Cyberweerbare Zaak’ grant, cybersecurity becomes more accessible for small businesses.
