Frequently asked questions about vBoxx email

Which vBoxx email solution should I choose?

vBoxxConnect is the preferred vBoxx solution for most teams: email, calendars, tasks and video conferencing in one environment, priced per user. Choose a Kerio Connect mail server if you want your own server with full control, or hosted Kerio Connect if your team already works with Kerio. If you keep your own mail server, add the MX Fallback so email does not bounce during an outage.

Where is my email stored?

All vBoxx email solutions are hosted in the Netherlands. vBoxxConnect data is stored in the maincubes datacenter in Amsterdam and never leaves the Netherlands. Both the datacenter and vBoxx are ISO 27001 certified, and vBoxx does not allow third-party data mining. Your email stays in the EU, GDPR compliant by design.

Can vBoxx migrate my existing email?

Yes. vBoxx offers free migration of email and calendars to vBoxxConnect, and you can also migrate on your own if you prefer. For Kerio Connect mail servers, almost all migrations are done by vBoxx migration specialists at no extra cost; only an unusually complex old setup is charged at an hourly rate.

What is the difference between hosted Kerio Connect and a Kerio Connect mail server?

With hosted Kerio Connect, vBoxx gives each user a Kerio Connect account on a server it hosts, maintains and updates. A vBoxx Kerio Connect mail server is a whole server for your organization: a shared server, or a private server with full root access. Both include daily off-site backups, antivirus, spam filtering, ActiveSync and a fallback server.
