Frequently asked questions about software licenses

Which software licenses can I buy from vBoxx?

vBoxx supplies ready-to-use licenses for eM Client, Sophos Protection, Microsoft software and the Kerio products of GFI Software (Kerio Connect and Kerio Control). For Microsoft you can choose between Open, OEM and SPLA licenses. If you are not sure which licenses your business needs, the vBoxx team gives advice before you order, so you only pay for software you actually use.

What is the difference between Microsoft Open, OEM and SPLA licenses?

Microsoft Open licenses are online and offline licenses for your organization. OEM licenses come with a hardware discount when you order new hardware, and are only available through hosting providers such as vBoxx. With SPLA you rent Microsoft licenses per month, and vBoxx charges them on your regular monthly invoice. vBoxx advises which model fits the way your software is deployed.

Do I need my own server for Kerio or Sophos?

No. Kerio Connect from vBoxx is hosted 100% in the Netherlands, with no investment in servers or equipment and no maintenance and update costs. Sophos Protection from vBoxx also requires no server or equipment investment on your side, and comes with full support via chat, email and phone.

How much do software licenses from vBoxx cost?

The price depends on the product, the number of users or devices and, for Microsoft, the licensing model you choose. That is why vBoxx does not list one price for all licenses.
