Send large files

Send large files, securely and without hassle

A file that is too big for email is best shared with a link. With vBoxxCloud you send up to 250 GB per transfer, protected with a password and stored on servers in the Netherlands.

The problem

Why large files do not fit in email

Most email providers accept attachments of about 20 to 25 MB. A presentation with video, a set of photos, a design or a backup is quickly over that. Even if an attachment just fits, it fills the recipient's mailbox and travels unprotected through several mail servers.

The alternative is simple: put the file in the cloud and send only a link. The recipient downloads the file directly, and you decide who can access it and for how long.

Step by step

Send large files with vBoxxCloud

  1. 1

    Upload the file

Drag the file or folder into vBoxxCloud in your browser, or sync it with the desktop app. You can send up to 250 GB per transfer, extendable on request.

  2. 2

    Create a share link

Choose Share and create a link. Set a password and an expiry date so the link does not stay open forever.

  3. 3

    Send the link

Send the link by email or chat. It is better to send the password through another channel, for example by phone.

  4. 4

    The recipient downloads

The recipient downloads the file directly from our servers. With a public share link they do not need an account; for ongoing collaboration you create free guest users.
